Green Wings Project Advocates for Sustainable Vaping at Vaper Expo UK 2023

Green Wings Project Advocates for Sustainable Vaping at Vaper Expo UK 2023

Fresh off the floors of Vaper Expo UK 2023, we at Green Wings Project are reflecting on the incredible conversations and commitments to sustainable vaping practices we witnessed.

In an industry often criticised for its environmental impact, Green Wings Project (GWP) took a stand at the Vaper Expo UK 2023 at NEC Birmingham. From October 27th to 29th, GWP engaged with manufacturers, retailers, and consumers, promoting free disposable vape recycling with our organisation.

Our programme emphasises the importance of responsible disposal and recycling of e-waste. With thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors, our team educated vendors on how to set up recycling bins in their shops, incorporate sustainability into their business models and encourage their customers to dispose their used vapes responsibly. We also provided practical solutions to individual vapers, demonstrating how to recycle their used vapes via post, and engaged in meaningful discussions about the future of environmentally friendly vaping.

We are proud to report that our message was received with enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to change from many within the vaping community. The Expo has proven to be a fruitful venture, with numerous retailers and countless individual retailers showing interest in joining our network, expanding our reach, and amplifying the impact of our recycling efforts.

Our initiative is about spreading awareness about sustainability, recycling and reusing electronic components where possible. The Vaper Expo UK 2023 has, therefore, marked a significant milestone in our journey towards making sustainable vaping the norm rather than the exception.
