Green Wings Project Proudly Sponsors Gunnersbury Athletic FC at Gunnersbury Cup 2024

Green Wings Project, a charity organisation committed to environmental sustainability and single-use electronic waste management, proudly sponsored “Gunnersbury Athletic FC” at the Gunnersbury Cup 2024.

Green Wings Project, a charity organisation committed to environmental sustainability and single-use electronic waste management, proudly sponsored Gunnersbury Athletic FC at the Gunnersbury Cup 2024.

The event, held at Gunnersbury Park, saw competitive matches between local football teams, with Young Boys FC emerging as the champions. Despite the final result, Gunnersbury Athletic FC made a lasting impact, especially with their co-branded kits, a result of the collaboration between the club and Green Wings Project.

Neil Robinson, CEO of Green Wings Project, took centre stage in showing support for the team. Robinson was photographed alongside Gunnersbury Athletic players, proudly displaying the unique co-branded shirts designed for the event. These shirts symbolise not just the spirit of football but also Green Wings Project’s ongoing commitment to spreading awareness about environmental sustainability and responsible electronic waste disposal, a cause embedded in every project they support.

The Gunnersbury Cup 2024 provided an excellent opportunity to reinforce Green Wings Project’s message of recycling and sustainability to a broader audience. During the event, fans and attendees were introduced to the organisation’s initiatives through informational stands and promotional material distributed at the venue. These efforts aimed to educate the public on the importance of responsible disposal and recycling of disposable electronics, particularly e-cigarettes and single-use vapes.

Partnering with Gunnersbury Athletic FC represents our ongoing mission to engage communities in meaningful ways,” said Neil Robinson. “While the game was a testament to athletic excellence, it also served as a platform to highlight critical issues surrounding electronic waste and sustainability. We are proud of the team’s efforts and the collaborative work that went into creating these co-branded shirts.

While Young Boys FC lifted the trophy, Gunnersbury Athletic FC’s performance, combined with Green Wings Project’s sponsorship, brought attention to a worthy cause, demonstrating the power of sports in driving awareness and change.
